This weekend the FIA European Championship started in Campillos (Malaga), the first of four qualifying rounds of the championship.
We came back to Campillos after last week's Champions Of The Future, where we suffered a lot with the Maxxis tyres. With the lesson learned, we tried to manage a little better the pressure in the tyres (with Maxxis minimum pressure recommendation included).
Qualifying was not so good with several riders, and it was also in mixed conditions (it started dry and then it started to rain lightly). Even so, with several riders we managed to qualify in the Top 10, giving us possibilities for the qualifying rounds.
In these qualifying heats we got two second places with the two drivers mentioned above. It is true that we had problems with both of them: Scott Marsh had to retire after a touch with another driver and a crash in two of the heats; Leo Nilsson had engine problems, which we couldn't solve until Saturday, and he also retired from one of the heats after an accident at the start.
Finally we qualified for the final with three drivers: Scott Marsh, Zan Green and Leo Nilsson, who, after starting at the back of the grid, managed to finish in the Top 20.
With our sights set on Portimao, the second round of the FIA European Championship.
