This week we took part in the second round of the Champions Of The Future at the Portuguese circuit of Portimao
After completing several test days the week before, we were ready to start the event in a strong position compared to our rivals.
However, on Monday we received a statement from Maxxis (tyre supplier), announcing changes to the compound due to multiple issues experienced both at Champions Of The Future and the CIK-FIA event in Campillos.
Adapting to this new tyre and understanding how it behaves was undoubtedly a challenge. Both free practice and qualifying were disappointing for us.
We also faced engine issues in both the prefinal and final, which meant we couldn’t achieve the results we were aiming for.
Now it’s time to focus on the second round of the FIA European Championship, which we’ll be racing this week, again in Portimão
